研究目标：以水稻、玉米、番茄等主要农作物为对象，针对与人体营养相关的微量营养素及健康功能因子建立代谢组学研究方法和技术体系，探索代谢途径关键节点，挖掘代谢调控关键基因，开发功能性分子标记，探索不同环境条件对代谢物积累的影响，为营养强化作物分子设计育种和标准化产品研发提供技术支撑。
Research Objectives: Establishment of omics-based methodology for characterization of micronutrients and health-promoting factors; identification of rate-limiting steps in metabolic pathways and investigation of regulatory mechanisms, target genes and the effects of environmental cues of metabolites’ synthesis and accumulation; development of functional molecular markers and providing theoretical and technical supports for molecular breeding of biofortified crops such as rice, maize and tomato.
